It is still snowing in Lake Tahoe, with a possible additional round of snow around April 24th. After that, forecasters are calling for a drier pattern.

We'll be boarding and skiing until July 4th, 2023 this year at Palisades Tahoe. With their free Spring Tracks concert series, Palisades Tahoe is the place to be for spring skiing and après ski.

Palisades Tahoe, formally Squaw Valley, is a world-class ski resort. It is located between Tahoe City and Truckee on Highway 89. It has received over 710 inches of snow in the 2022/2023 ski season, with 6 more inches in the last 24 hours.

Known for hosting the Olympics and its stunning views, Palisades Tahoe offers a variety of ski runs suitable for many different skill levels. Here are some of my favorite runs at Palisades Tahoe:

Advanced

KT-22 is known for its steep, challenging terrain and is considered one of Palisades Tahoe's iconic runs. It's a favorite among advanced and expert skiers looking for a thrilling experience. The run offers a combination of moguls, chutes, and open bowls, making it a challenging, but rewarding option for experienced skiers.

It's a long, groomed run that is perfect for intermediate skiers looking to enjoy a scenic ride with some rolling terrain and moguls. It's also a great option for those looking to progress from beginner to intermediate runs.

Shirley Lake is a great option for intermediate skiers looking for a mix of groomed terrain and some challenging sections. It offers a variety of slopes, including open bowls and tree-lined runs, and is known for its beautiful scenery. It's accessible via the Shirley Lake Express chairlift and provides a fun and diverse skiing experience.

Mixed Levels

Siberia Bowl is a large, open bowl that offers a mix of intermediate and advanced terrain. It's  wide slopes and powder stashes, make it a popular choice for powder enthusiasts. Siberia Bowl is accessible via the Siberia Express chairlift and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Belmont is a fun, intermediate run that offers a mix of groomed terrain and moguls. It's known for its wide slopes and rolling terrain, making it a great option for intermediate skiers looking for a playful skiing experience. The resort offers a wide range of terrain suitable for different skill levels, from beginners to expert skiers, and has something to offer for everyone. It's always a good idea to check the resort's trail map and consult with local staff for the most up-to-date information on ski runs and conditions. Stay safe and enjoy your time on the slopes!
