What I love most about Lahontan is the upscale feel that blends an old world charm with modern architecture. Lahontan sits on 900 acres and is the area's most prestigious community. It is located off Hwy 267, minutes from Hwy 80 in the Martis Valley area of Truckee.
The Lahontan Golf Course , designed by Tom Weiskopf, boasts a Golf Club and restaurant that is a throwback to the charm and elegance of the past. With 509 custom homesites, on an average lot size of .70 acres, you can enjoy endless views and a sense of privacy. Schaffer’s Mill Golf & Lake Club debuted to immediate acclaim, being named the #1 New Private Club in California in 2008. It was listed among the Top 10 New Clubs in the Country by Golfweek magazine. The community is located off 267 and is next to Lahontan and Martis Camp.

Gray’s Crossing is another affordable choice when looking for a top-notch mountain home in a golf course community. The lots range in size from 0.4 acres to 10 acres.
This 750-acre property is located on the north end of Martis Valley, offering peaceful seclusion from crowds and traffic, but with easy access to Old Town Truckee. With hundreds of acres of open space and loads of hiking and biking trails, Gray’s Crossing has the feel of a more remote location.
Only 1.5 miles from Downtown Truckee, Gray’s Crossing offers easy access to vibrant shops and restaurants.
